Challenge

A startup during the peak of the NFT boom.
The goal was to launch a minimum viable product (MVP) as quickly as possible, with limited time for
in-depth research or creating a fully-fledged service with a polished design. The primary focus was on user interaction (UX), ensuring perfect display across all devices. This required generating numerous adaptive screenshots, resulting in a flexible and intuitive interface for users.

Problems that the service solves.

At that time, the market was flooded with NFT platforms, yet none addressed the needs of artists and musicians wanting to sell their music and video content. Our client, well-known within the U.S. music industry, proposed fulfilling this need through NFTs, enabling artists to monetize their creations easily in a digital format.

Results

After completing the development, we conducted usability testing, which yielded impressive results: 79% positive feedback, a remarkable score for the first version of the project. User retention stood at 70%, which is also an excellent starting benchmark. All the tests we conducted showed highly favorable outcomes for the first version.

Following the production release, we increased the user base by 40%, thanks to the intuitive interface design and successful integration of NFT drops. Additionally, the time spent on the site grew by 48%, which is twice as high as previous results.

Process

Research & Analysis: We conducted user interviews, surveys, and analyzed in-app analytics to understand the pain points and user needs. We also studied competitor apps and industry trends to gather insights

Information Architecture: Based on the research findings, we restructured the app's navigation and content, prioritizing features and information according to user needs.

Wireframing & Prototyping: We designed low-fidelity wireframes to visualize the new layout and navigation, iteratively refining them based on user feedback. Afterward, we built a high-fidelity, interactive prototype to test the design.

Visual Design & Style Guide: We developed a cohesive visual language, including color schemes, typography, and iconography, ensuring consistency throughout the app. We also created a style guide to maintain design consistency in future updates.

Usability Testing: We conducted usability tests with a diverse group of users to validate the design and identify areas for improvement. Based on the feedback, we made necessary adjustments to the design.

Conclusion

The development of the NFT platform during the peak of the NFT boom demonstrated the power of user-centered design in delivering an intuitive, highly functional interface. Through thorough research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing, we were able to create a platform that not only addressed the specific needs of artists and musicians but also exceeded user expectations.
The results of the usability testing and increased user retention reflect the success
of the design choices and the effectiveness of our approach. The platform's success is further validated by the increased user base and time spent on the site, underscoring the importance of a well-executed UX/UI strategy.
